Become an investor
Some of us are stuck in traditional ways of investing. Money should work for us, not the other way around. Life can become too busy with sailings and ODs for the officers. If the spouse who stays home is financially savvy that's a brilliant partnership indeed. A good place to start is read Economic Times. Even if you don't get a suitable job if you can multiply your savings you are putting your time and energy to good use.
A day job?
If by any chance you are interested in a regular job and have time for it, then startups are a great place to begin your second career. They absorb people who are
- confident
- excellent in communication
- not culturally constrained
- bold and can converse with any age or gender
- well groomed and
- not bothered about the pay since they are already well off :)
Qualities that are naturally found in a naval wife.
